It seems that the world’s love affair with Robert Pattinson could soon be fizzling out and ending with awkward phonecalls. ‘It’s not you, it’s me…’

Since New Moon’s release, I’ve sensed a disturbance in the force. Taylor Lautner, R-Pattz’s love rival werewolf, has not only been racking up just as many, if not more, Twi-hard fans but also has taken a huge pay hike.

Reports this morning indicate that Lautner is now the highest paid teen actor in Hollywood. For his next movie Lautner will earn $7.5 million for his role in Tom Cruise’s upcoming Nothern Lights. I wonder if it had anything to do with the fact that in New Moon he turned into a total beefcake.

Cinemablend described the plot of the new movie as “aerobatics pilot who faces off with his controlling, billionaire father and falls in love with a gifted female pilot.”

Hmmm, pilots and Tom Cruise? I’m a little worried for Taylor’s heterosexual credibility; beware the gay subtext of Top Gun Taylor, beware!
