I think we were all excited when we heard that man candy, Ryan Reynolds, would be donning a tight green costume to play DC superhero, The Green Lantern.

But I got my panties in a real twist when we heard that An Education’s Peter Sarsgaard would be playing the Lantern’s villain, Hector Hammond.

HeatVisionBlog.com describe Hector’s backstory as, ‘Dr. Hector Hammond, the pathologist son of a senator who is seen as a disappointment in his father’s eyes. He becomes infused with psychic powers when he discovers a meteor.’

Previous reports indicated that the villain of the piece would be Sinestro. Either it will be a two villain movie like the Nolan’s Batman movies or Sinestro’s out of the picture.

I don’t mind either way though because it’s in safe hands with Casino Royale director, Martin Campbell. Though the production isn’t exactly moving at a fast pace, it’s better than rushing it.
