Skin’s star Nicholas Hoult is rumoured to be appearing in the next instalment of the Mad Max series.

Hoult, recently nominated for a BAFTA Rising Star award , has apparently signed on to star opposite Charlize Theron and Bronson’s Tom Hardy.

The original movies starred Mel Gibson and were set in a dystopian future where he was still attractive.

According to the Herald Sun, the new movie will is tentatively titled Fury Road which is said to be set shortly after the events of Beyond Thunderdome, the third film in the series. The project has been stuck in development hell since the original trilogy ended in 1985, talk about taking your time.

Little else is known about the film and still no word as to whether Mel Gibson will be involved and even though he may not act, he could still turn up as the director.
