Red Trailer

Just when we thought we couldn’t love Helen Mirren any more, she goes and does this. Red will see Mirren play an ex-CIA operative who is marked for death along with Bruce Willis, Morgan Freeman and John Malkovich.

They must all reunite in order to stop the hit and find out who is out to get them. It’s really Bruce’s story but if youn give Helen Mirren a gun and make her a badass, don’t be surprised when our attention is diverted.

You can catch Red later this year, most likely October, but for now check out the trailer.

Never Let Me Go Trailer

Now this is something we can get our teeth into: Never Let Me Go, an adaptation of Kazuo Ishiguro’s acclaimed novel. Carey Mulligan, Kiera ‘Skeletor’ Knightley, Andrew Garfield and the always excellent Sally Hawkins star in Mark Romanek’s drama.

As children, Ruth (Knightley), Kathy (Mulligan) and Tommy (Garfield), spend their childhood at a seemingly idyllic English boarding school. As they grow into young adults, they find that they have to come to terms with the strength of the love they feel for each other, while preparing themselves for the haunting reality that awaits them.

Aside from having two young Oscar nommed actresses on board, this film looks beautiful and will most likely have us all in a tizzy by the time it’s released. Unfortunately, we have no idea when that will be. Stay tuned.

The Green Hornet Trailer

With execs shaking in their boots over this project, we were wondering if we were going to see it at all. Michel Gondry’s kooky adaptation of The Green Hornet might not be to everyone’s tastes but it’ll definitely be a new take on the superhero genre. Plus it’s like the only story where the sidekick is actually better than the hero.

Seth Rogen plays Britt Reid, the playboy son of a newspaper tycoon whose unexpected death leaves Britt in charge of his media empire. Realising that he’s been wasting his life, Britt teams up with one of his father’s faithful employees, Kato, who just so happens to be a martial arts expert who’s handy with a gun and drives a car like he’s a rally driver.

Naming himself the Green Hornet, Britt sets about cleaning up the city, starting with Benjamin Chudnofsky (Christoph Waltz), the biggest crime boss in the city. You’ll have to wait till 2011 to see The Green Hornet in action but for now we’ve got the trailer for you.

The Other Guys Trailer

New York City Detective Allen Gamble (Will Ferrell) is a forensic accountant who is more interested in paperwork than fieldwork. Detective Terry Hoitz (Mark Wahlberg) has been stuck working with Gamble since an embarrassing shooting. Gamble and Hoitz both admire top cops Highsmith (Samuel L. Jackson) and Danson (Dwayne Johnson), but when their chance to show their stuff arises, things go wrong.

Will Ferrell, Mark Wahlberg, Samuel L. Jackson, Dwayne Johnson, Eva Mendes, Ray Stevenson, Steve Coogan, Rob Riggle and Damon Wayans Jr. That’s quite an ecclectic list of names for any director to fit into a film together, but somehow writer and director Adam McKay has managed it. We’ve obviously got high hopes for The Other Guys, after all Ferrell and McKay managed to produce one of the most popular cult movies in recent memory when they created Anchorman a few years back – but then they also worked together on Land of the Lost last year, so the jury will remain very much out until 1st September when this film hits cinemas.

Smurf Movie Teaser

After seeing this brand new teaser for a new Smurf movie, we are lost for words.

There’s not too much we can say about the movie at this point – it’s more of a ’see it for yourself’ kind of thing.

According to IMDB, it’s about the adventures of a mythical race of little blue creatures that must deal with each other and humans, particularly an evil sorcerer obsessed with capturing them for his own sinister purposes.

So, pretty much exactly the same as the cartoons? Anywho, you can catch The Smurfs in smurftastic 3D in 2011.

Chronicles of Narnia: Voyage of the Dawn Treader

Lucy and Edmund Pevensie (Georgie Henley and Skandr Keynes) return to Narnia with their cousin Eustace (Will Poulter). They reunite with the dashing Prince Caspian (Ben Barnes) for a trip across the sea aboard the royal ship The Dawn Treader. Along the way they encounter dragons, dwarves, merfolk, and a band of lost warriors before reaching the edge of the world.

You can catch Voyage of the Dawn Treader 3D in cinemas from 10th December 2010, in the meantime, check out the trailer.

Harry Potter And The Deathly Hallows Teaser!

At the recent MTV Movie awards, footage was shown from Harry Potter And The Deathly Hallows and now I’m bringing it to you. This new clip has me utterly jazzed, so much so that I donned my cape, got out my wand and wrote this article for you.

In an effort to find all Horcruxes, Harry, Ron and Hermione must leave Hogwarts behind and go on a quest. But can they find them in time to stop Voldemort and his army? You can catch the next instalment of the Potter series in November but, for now, check out this footage.

Machete Trailer

The Grindhouse style isn’t for everyone with its grainy footage, wonky editing and 70s style effects but once you’ve watched the trailer for Machete, you’ll be converted.

Harry from Ain’t It Cool News has received the trailer for Robert Rodriguez’s latest film and, with no exaggeration, it’s one of the best trailers I’ve seen this year.

Danny Trejo stars as Machete, a Mexican federale who gets double crossed by a scheming American politician. He gathers his troops for some balls out action: Jessica Alba, Michelle Rodriguez and a gun toting priest played by Cheech Marin.

And keep your eyes peeled for Lindsay Lohan as a nun. There’s a joke in there somewhere but I’m too excited to find it.

Check out the trailer and let me know what you think, drop a comment down below.

MacGruber Trailer

Every time I hear that Saturday Night Live star Kristen Wiig is in a movie, I get excited and now I’ve seen the trailer for MacGruber, I’m all revved up again.

In the latest of a long line of SNL movies, MacGruber is the inept US special op agent who is called upon to stop Dieter von Cunth (Val Kilmer) and his plan to blow up Washington DC. Of course, nothing’s going to go to plan as MacGruber is the US equivalent of Johnny English.

Aiding him are Lt. Dixon Piper (Ryan Phillippe) and Vicki St. Elmo (Kristen Wiig). There’ll be romance, explosions and massive cock ups.

Video: Inception Viral Campaign Kicks Off

I’d love to start this article by telling you what the movie Inception is all about, but unfortunately no one knows a bloody thing about it. I can tell you that it’ll star Leonardo DiCaprio and Ellen Page and is directed by Dark Knight’s Christopher Nolan but as the far as plot goes, I’ve got nothing.

Nolan has described the movie as ‘Taking place within the architecture of the mind,’ but that’s about it. Anyway, the viral campaign for the movie has kicked off with a video by Nolan in which he interviews some sleep experts. I do know that the brunette lady with the glasses is an actress who’s there to give some plot clues but it seems the others are actual academics.
