Hobo With A Shotgun Will Star Rutger Hauer

You might not like Grindhouse movies but you have to admit, they have the best titles.

Back in 2007, in the promotional hoo-ha for Quentin Tarantino and Robert Rodriguez’s Grindhouse double feature, the SXSW film festival ran a competition for fake trailers to run before the movie. Jason Eisner and co won with their entry called Hobo With A Shotgun that followed a homeless man who cleans up the streets by killing drug dealers, paedophiles and corrupt cops.

Ain’t It Cool News are reporting that the movie starts filming tomorrow with Blade Runner star Rutger Hauer in the title role. The whole Grindhouse experience has proved pretty popular as Machete, a fake trailer made by Rodriguez is also in production.

It sounds like a fun project but it’s not the entry I would have chosen – I’m still waiting for someone to make Dead Noon.

Check out the trailer for Hobo With A Shotgun and let me know what you think.

Gentlemen Broncos

If you liked Napolean Dynamite then you’re obviously a fan of comedies that don’t make you laugh. That’s fine, I don’t judge you. In fact, I’ve got a present for you.

From the writer and director of Napolean comes Gentlemen Broncos starring Flight of The Conchords star Jermaine Clement and Michael Angarano.

Benjamin (Angarano), home-schooled by his eccentric mother, is a loner whose passion for writing leads him on an journey as his story first gets ripped off by the legendary fantasy novelist, Ronald Chevalier (Clement), and then is adapted into a disastrous movie by the small town’s most prolific homespun filmmaker.

Centurion Trailer

This year’s cinematic calendar is chock-a-block full of historical epics and everywhere you turn there are Greeks and Romans waving their, um, swords around and Centurion is no exception.

Set in 117 AD, Michael Fassbender plays Quintus Dias, a Roman solider who manages to survive after his legion is attacked in the North of England. The dangerous Picts were behind it and they’ve also managed to kidnap Quintus’ leader General Virilus (Dominic West). Now Quintus and a few others (Noel Clarke and David Morrisey), must struggle to survive behind enemy lines.

If you’re up for some historical action with the gorgeous Inglourious Basterd Michael Fassbender then go see Centurion when it’s released on 23rd April.

Sex and the City Trailer

The girls, the guys and the glamour are back this year in Sex And The City 2 and I’ve got the brand new trailer to show you.

Set two years after the last movie ended, Carrie and Big are living the married life but notice that they might have lost their sparkle. Samantha had broken up with Smith when we last saw her and it looks like she’s back to her old tricks again. Miranda and Charlotte are dealing with family life as Charlotte admits that she’s struggling with her two children Lily and Rose.

In order to take a break from their lives, the girls head off to Abu Dhabi for some fun in the desert but they’re in for a shock when Carrie gets a blast from the past. Check out the trailer and let me know what you think, drop a comment down below.

Vodpod videos no longer available.

The Other Guys Trailer

From Adam McKay, director of Step Brothers, comes new Will Ferrell and Mark Wahlberg comedy The Other Guys.

Allen Gamble (Ferrell) and Terry Hoitz (Wahlberg) are two mismatched partners in the NYPD. They rarely get any action, idolizing the city’s top cops Danson (Dwayne Johnson) and Highsmith (Samuel L. Jackson) who are the coolest guys on the force.

But when Gamble and Hoitz get a chance to prove what good cops they are, things don’t go according to plan.

Check out the trailer and see if you think that The Other Guys could be the cop movie of the year

Killers Trailer

Brace yourself for a year of dashing men of action and silly blondes who can’t work a gun a properly.

Katherine Heigl and Ashton Kutcher play Jen and Spencer, a blissfully happy couple whose lives are about to get turned upside down when Spencer reveals that he’s actually a Government hired assassin.

But the eye rolling doesn’t stop there. Someone puts a hit out on Spencer and he realises that people have been watching him and Jen for years, meaning his killers could be anyone.

If this wasn’t original enough for you why don’t you try Cameron Diaz (blonde) and Tom Cruise (dashing man of action) in Knight and Day, also coming to cinemas this year. But if you prefer your assassin movies with a little more brunette in them then you can always see Date Night with Tina Fey and Steve Carrell.

For now, check out the trailer for the Killers and let us know what you think, drop a comment down below.

Dinner For Schmucks Trailer

From Jay Roach, the director of Austin Powers and Meet The Parents, comes Dinner For Schmucks, a tale of weird people and the pleasure we get from taking the mickey out of them.

Tim (Paul Rudd) is out to impress his boss in order to clinch a big promotion but it turns out that all Tim has to do is attend his boss’ annual dinner party.

It sounds simple enough until his boss requests that Tim brings along a complete idiot so that he and his co-workers can point and laugh at him. Enter Steve Carrell as Barry, a moronic IRS agent whose hobbies include recreating artistic masterpieces with dead mice.

Can Tim bring himself to invite Barry to a party where he knows he’ll be humiliated just so he can get promoted? Probably.

You can see Dinner For Schmucks when it hits UK cinemas on 20th August. Check out the trailer and let us know what you think by dropping a comment down below.

The Infidel Trailer

Iranian funnyman Omid Djalili stars in David Baddiel’s religious comedy The Infidel.

Mahmud is a lapsed Muslim who loves a bacon butty and thinks it’s funny to teach his young daughter racist slurs. After his mother’s death, Mahmud discovers that he was adopted and that he’s actually Jewish. Having never been particularly religious, he finds he’s totally lost and has no idea how to be Jewish.

He finds a friend and a tutor in Lenny Goldberg (Richard Schiff) who teaches him what it means to be Jewish e.g. how to tell a joke at a bar mitzvah and the proper pronunciation of ‘Oy’.

When Mahmud’s son reveals that his fiancée has a new stepfather who just happens to be a muslim extremist, Mahmud must choose whether to be a Jew or a Muslim.

You can catch The Infidel in cinemas from 9th April, but for now you can check out the trailer.

Resident Evil: Afterlife Trailer

If you’re getting a sudden craving for brains then you must be picking up on the fact that Resident Evil: Afterlife is nearly upon us. Well, I say nearly but it’s not out until September.

We’ll be joining a super charged professional ass-kicker Alice and a few friends in LA where they’re trying to bust a convict out of zombie jail.

But with the dastardly Umbrella Corporation still running, can they complete their mission before Alice is captured?

According to the trailer, the movie has been filmed with fancypants technology courtesy of James Cameron. As long as the filmmakers didn’t take any storytelling advice from him, we’ll be OK.

The movie might well look good up on the big screen but we’re wondering why they’ve chosen the most bland looking clips to put into the trailer and why it doesn’t give even a hint of plotline away.

After seeing the trailer, I’m not too jazzed about seeing the movie but give it a look and let me know what you think: drop a comment down below.

Iron Man 2 Pictures, Posters & Website!

Cue the Black Sabbath music and lots of air guitaring because I’ve got a whole host of Iron Man 2 stuff to show you.

As the movie moves closer to its 30th April release date (ignore what the posters say), I’m getting fully revved up for the movie.

After revealing to the world that he’s Iron Man, Tony Stark must fend off the Government who want their grubby little hands on his suit design.

Whiplash AKA Ivan Vanko is also out for revenge on the Stark family and will stop at nothing to bring Iron Man down.

Lucky for Tony, Rhodes is at his side and he’s suited up as War Machine and Pepper Potts is on hand to, um, answer his fan mail?

First up I’ve got an uber sexy poster of Scarlett Johannson as Black Widow that was unveiled at Wondercon.

Do It!
